Air rifles?

Thinking of buying my grandson a full auto air/electric rifle. I was looking at an Airsoft R76 I believe it is about a hundred bucks. Should i go with it or a gun that shoots BBs? The R76 shots plastic pellets. Is their a better deal on that type gun that you know of? Don't want to spend over 150.00 unless it's well worth the money. Thanks

    What does he want to do with it?
    Spray plastic pellets at empty coke bottles?
    Go for it.
    Lots of fun!!
    But not terribly durable.

    Develop good marksmanship habits? Not the best choice.
    A crossman would be a better choice.

    Figure out what your target will be first. Otherwise, just go with an airsoft. Much harder to damage things with airsoft than steel BB's running around.
