Obama tells us the economy is the worst it has been since the Great Depression.

Gun sales are through the roof.

He has bragged about bankrupting the coal industry.
He has talked about bankrupting General Motors...for the best of the nation.[xx(]

It makes me wonder what road the messiah plans on taking this nation. Economic turmoil. High firearm demand. The next step is food shortages in the store, or does that come after the rioting?

How far does he plan to divide or destroy this nation?

Heck we could be in civil war and 49% would still say he is better than President Bush.

Now they say Bush is doing nothing about the terrorist crisis in the capital of India. He should resign right now and let Obama take over. Well, that is not the way it works. And who's to say that just because he is a Democrat and black that he would know what should be done? Gimme a break! I'm am not at all sure that we need his leadership any sooner or any longer than absolutely necessary since he was elected.

And our President is doing what should be done at this point!

I think his plan to enact a lot of what he wants is going to meet more opposition than people realize. We can stop a lot of what is headed this way is we are willing to work together, and get off our * for once

Obama needs to read a history book then. Do you see people on street corners standing in bread lines, or selling brand new luxury cars for pennies on the dollar?

    Neither do I.

    Carry on [:)]

Amen. This is hysteria without a grounding in reality. If they're not careful, it will become self-fulfilling prophecy. Their hype will make an acutal disaster where there wasn't one before.

I think alot of that is bluster. He talked about bankrupting the coal industry to placate his ultra-Left eco base. He doesn't have the backing or political horsepower to do anything of the sort and he knows it.

As for GM, it would be infinitely better to let them go into chapter 11 rather than have the taxpayers pay for their mistakes. I don't know if he was talking about literally bankrupting them or if he was speaking metaphorically or legally or what, but just like all politicians there's a world of difference between his words and what he can actually accomplish in the real world.

I wouldn't worry about us returning to the stone age anytime soon.
