Ok so I'll start with a short introduction. I have lurked on this forum for a year or so and finally made the move to join the fun.
Now on to my question. I am currently undergoing chemo for lymphoma and have made up my mind once I have licked this to buy myself a nice walnut and blued steel rifle as a reward. I have plenty of hunting rifles this will probably wind up a safe queen with a little paper punching thrown in. My budget will be 2,000 max not including optics. I have sort of narrowed it down to a Montana Rifle Co American Legends or a Winchester Super Grade. But I am open to suggestions and options.
Thanks

You should check out the Browning X-bolts.
take a look at what weapons my son's neighbor kicks out. Dan Coffin Gunsmithing in Victor Montana. he is an "arteest" to the Nth degree building rifles to your order. he is Hank Williams Jr personal gunsmith. Hank owns a ranch near Victor. if you have Facebook check out his page, many pics of his work.
This bears repeating.[:)]
Have you looked at a Cooper??
You beat me to it. I have a few and they're excellent rifles. Can be had for about $2k, maybe a tad under if used.

if I remember correct one of the boys did and had his * kicked out of the company for doing so
Really nice rifle, just have to win the lottery before I can afford it. Then I would be afraid to take it out of the safe I might ding it.
you can get some really nice Coopers for around 2 bills and you can go right to the factory and talk to them about what you want, not very many places you can do that at
