The bottom line on this issue is that we need to bring this to a head. The sooner the better. The more escalation we have, the greater chance we have to increase support for the The Unite The Right, which is the purpose of the defense of our Confederate monuments. If it is a lost cause, so be it.

Agreed, but the immediate obstacle to overcome is to get southerners and other Americans to understand the people protecting the monuments are the extreme elements of white people. Right now all too many are protecting the extreme elements of the far left, read the BLM, the New Black Panthers, NAACP, ANTIFA, establishment politicians by doing absolutely nothing to stop their enemies' attacks on our Confederate monuments. It's worth forwarding to my high school classmates and other folks that I exchange emails with to ensure some further distribution of it. Still, the bigger picture is identifying the good guys at Charlottesville. Right now I believe that those who identified themselves with the white banner and black cross, plus all of the militia who were well armed represented the good guys that Trump spoke about. The American public is being deceived by the democratic and republican politicians and the media, including Fox News, by attempting to identify these people as being bad people like the more extreme groups, the KKK and the Neo-Nazis. The media personnel are intelligent enough to know the difference, but they would be out of a job should they speak the truth to this end.
