I wonder if he will have time and interest when President Trump stops foreign aid and DEA money?

How about when he places a tax on outgoing money that illegals send back to Mexico.

    How about then?

Ha, they are going to pay for the wall one way or the other. They think they are dealing with a political man when they are dealing with a business man. This is what winning looks like. I like Trump more every day.

Trump needs to close the boarder immediately, NO MEXICAN GOODS allowed in. No American goods allowed to go there. Bring all American dollars home no tourism, no goods sold no food no money. Send him back all his laborers with the clothes on their backs. Any assets they got while here stay here. See how long it takes for them to beg Trump to see him.

Might hurt economically a little but draw a line in the sand and stand by it.

Put armed guards up and down the entire border until the wall is built and shoot anyone trying to cross.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Only by request of the states governor. He can't just send troops in because he feels like it. I think it will be dealt with by withholding federal funding.

Why isn't Mexico embarrassed that their own citizens fleeing to the north are causing such problems for their neighbor? Have they even proposed any constructive methods for dealing with this issue?

Lets provide them with copies of the Constitution which they are free to use to create a country people want to live in.

Why would they be embarrassed when the US absorbs their problem citizens, and they send back US dollars to help shore up the corrupt Mexican economy?

They get rid of dis-enfranchised citizens (that may start a revolution and upset the apple cart) and they get US dollars sent home. From their point of view it is a win, win, and win deal.

Just came back from 16 days in Mexico City and Cancun. First time there my thoughts....The Mexican people are some of the warmest, nicest, most gracious people I've every met. I loved the country, people and the food. Having said that.... I feel terrible for the people, the government, military, and the police are corrupt to the core. They have all the resources and talent needed to have a rich and flourishing society and country. Instead they have crime, drugs, and corruption.
I had a few arguments with some friends there as I support Trump 100%. But I asked them this question, How would you feel if America adopted the same rules and immigration laws as Mexico has? ( Mexico is building a wall on their southern border to keep out illegal immigrants too) That shut them down quickly.Dave

I am never sure what to do with statements like yours that express sympathy for the poor unfortunates in Mehico because of the corruption at every level.

Who do you suppose causes and engages in all that there rampant corruption? Roving bands of Norwegians?

It is much like the constant drumbeat we hear that as a minority here these folks are of some great and wonderful value to our country. Ignored is the fact that their own countries, where they are the majority and their culture prevails, are each and every one 3rd World Chitholes.

The hispanic culture has never formed a successful, functioning 1st World country. Pretending otherwise serves no purpose I am aware of.

Can't disagree with any of your points. I don't know of a solution to their problems. Everytime someone down there trys to change things they are taken out.
My girlfriends cousin was married to a government prosecutor in Mexico City. He started to build a case against some corrupt officals. He got some threatening phone calls and he didn't drop the case. The next week he was shot dead in his driveway, they continued to get the threatening phone calls for two more weeks. That was two years ago, no arrests, no suspects. She had another cousin kidnaped, they never got him back. Most of the people I know there just try and keep their heads down, raise their kids right and try not to attract any attention.Dave

    I agree Dave.

Mexico has very strict immigration laws. If you are not familiar with them, or have not read them, you should. It is an eye opener.

The fact that Mexico is building its own wall, should speak volumes.

It is not America's responsibility to fund Countries around the Globe with Aid.

It is time to to cut off the unmitigated flow of money, and start fixing the myriad range of problems within our own Country.

That is exactly what Trump needs to do, tax the money going back to Mexico.

If Trump adds tariffs to goods from Mexico which there are many, then we will be paying more for the goods. This will be especially true for vehicles especially if car makers do not make good on the promise to move production back to the US.

Have you bought any auto parts lately?

If the part wasn't made in Mexico, it was made in China.

    Tax those items.

    Agree totally.
In the fabrication business, I see steel come in frequently. Most of it is marked; Turkey, India, Russia, and most of all, China. Very, very little is marked 'Made in USA'.

The Jacobs Super Chuck that came into the shop the other day was marked 'Made in China'. It still cost almost $400.00, but is no longer made in the US.

Mexico needs illegals in the USA.

They come here, then send money back to support families that the Mexican Government does not have the means to provide services for.

I agree 100%. I know hundreds of Mexicans both good and bad. The situation in Mexico is the result of an unarmed citizenry. I believe the Mexican people would revolt if they were armed well enough. As it is the Cartels rule with pure violence. 90% of the people there are wonderful. The government is almost as bad as the cartels.

About 8 years ago my wife was driving home from work about 1:00 AM and 3 drunk illegals pulled in front of her and she t-boned them at about 45mph (the speed limit). Totaled her new Chevy and put her in the hospital for 2 weeks and out of work for 3 months. They fled and were found by the Speedway, IN police department hiding behind some bushes at a Kroger store nearby. They clamed that they couldn't speak English so a spanish speaking officer was called. All 3 went to jail and were released the next morning. Did they show up for a court hearing? What do you guys think? No insurance, no license, no problem. Why should they waste their under the table money on that when they will just walk?

I can't disagree. I have done a number of projects in Mexico and other places South, and 'Hurry up!' does not seem to be part of the culture. As a client of mine put it, they have two speeds: Slow...and not quite nearly so fast.

There are a number of other cultural 'quirks' that contribute to the mess their countries are in. The best they can hope for is that we get fed up and conquer them.

    More heroin ?

I would advise that the US should be careful in destabilizing a reasonably friendly neighbor.
