I have purchased through eBay some radios from a seller in Australia.
They are sold in Australian Dollars.
Going over the stuff I could find at the PayPal site. I find no mention of currency exchange rates.
Does anyone know if they - PayPal - do an automatic conversion ??
I can't reach them until 0800.
Thank you.

Its asking for what your paying for over seas with,
Visa or M.C. the math is just with in the click of your mouse.
You will only pay in American $$$'s the figure you see.
Take into consideratin, the U.S. dollar is also almost worthless these days, overseas.
Last time I was there - 20+ years ago - it was 1:3.
Just wanna make sure I don't get burned.
I found the listing accidentally. It doesn't show up on fleabay here.
Thank you.

are radios better over there??
Serious answer.
I have decided that if a disaster occurs, Citizen Band (CB)radidios may be the most economically viable method of communication - cell phones and landlines being inoperable, and Amateur Radio (HAM) being too expensive and with too steep a learning curve for me at this time.
I found 4 NIB CBs that match one (a Uniden Handheld mobile) I've had for over 20 years, and was the winning bidder. OOps - they are in Australia and are listed in Australian Dollars.
So, I'm just trying to make sure that I don't get screwed with the AUD/USD exchange rate.
Without being a doomsayer (well...maybe being a doomsayer), I think a regional/National collapse is eminent, so I'm trying to prepare as quickly and inexpensively as I can.
I'll be adding small linear amplifiers, 4 wheeler batteries and solar rechargers to each radio as I can design, build and afford them. The radios already have high/low output power selection.
Progress continues on the base camp/redoubt.
Thank you for all of your help.

in thailand it cost 500 baht for a hooker (for the whole night!)that works out to 22 bucks (well it did in 1999).
BTW I only know about the cost of hookers in thailand from what a friend told me. while we were stationed there. I never touched the girl. she told me she was 18.....Really!![}:)]
