When I was laid off from Union Oil back in 1984 I told the VP who was handing me my walking papers (he later eneded up marrying my ex-wife [:(!]) that Union Oil had just lost the best engineer that they'd ever have and that within 10 years I'd be making enough money to buy and sell his sorry * twice over.

I'm sure that in the nearly 25 years that have passed Union Oil found a better engineer.
