    How's this for some stats?

Get your pens ready to write this down. According to the CDC, which keeps these stats, in 2006 (most recent year available online) there were:

unintentional deaths involving motor vehicles: 45,316

unintentional deaths involving firearms: 642 (that's six hundred forty two)

Overall deaths involving motor vehicles: 45,509

Overall deaths involving firearms(this would include deaths for any reason at all, not just a criminal shooting a victim): 30,896

Conclusion: firearm deaths are rarer than motor vehicle deaths due to any circumstance for the year 2006 (USA stats only). The intent of the firearm weilder was overwhelmingly the factor in the overall deaths concerning firearms for that year.

642 accidents with guns that killed versus 45,316 with motor vehicles that killed. But GUNS are too dangerous. [V] Where is the outrage over the scourge of evil motor vehicles?
