Good Shotgun

I am looking at getting a shotgun for home defense. My girlfriend also needs to be able to shoot it well. She likes the Remington 870 20 gauge, that my brother has, I just wanted to know, does a 20 gauge have enough stopping power. Also, what is a good price for a Remington 870 20 gauge, 18.5" barrel, I saw one for $320 new. Are these good guns?

yeah a 20 gauge is fine and Remington is a decent. Dont forget to think about adding a flashlight.

20 ga. #3 buck shot should be very efective for
home defence, and the rem. 870 is top notch.

You are dog gonned skippy that's a great gun! Flashlight and knoxx stock are really important. Target identification and recoil reducing stock.

Can't do any better without spending a lot of cash and then it would not be much better...

I find flashlights to be too finicky.

I just strap a railroad flare to the end of mine, to make target acquisition easier for my assailants.

Besides, they're a real purdey red.
