Sheriff Joe Arpaio for Gov

Got an email requesting donation to raise 4Mil to run for Gov of Arizona. I would like to see him run and win but not enough to donate to his campaign. We have enough trouble in MS to worry about AZ.

Has anyone else received such an email?? Tom

    No way in hell. Would be the worst possible thing to happen to Arizona since Napolitano. I'd sooner have Fife Slymington back as Governor than that incompetent, money wasting, showboating, penny-ante bust making con artist screwing up crime fighting and the budgets of all Arizona's counties instead of just Maricopa.

    Agreed, this is likely. The result of low information voters lapping up his exceptional Kool-Aid and voting with a Kool-Aid Buzz on.

    Over a $100,000,000 gone, dozens of lawsuits lost, illegal alien gangsters doing as they please, endless felony warrants ignored, sex scandals from prostitution busts, dog killing, house burning, small communities have to resort to ad-hoc armed citizen patrols because Nickle Bag pulled their Deputies, none of it matters.

    Nickle Bag runs big publicized "Crime Sweeps". Where he picks up the smallest problems, the least dangerous suspects he can. Preferably illegals. All while completely ignoring the gangs, the drug smugglers, the violent career criminals.

    Before Nickle Bag came along Maricopa County self-insured. Now the county has to not only carry liability insurance, the best policy it can get has a $5,000,000 deductible. That's due to all those deaths in his jails. You know, all those unconvicted, never been tried, often hadn't even been charged yet holding cell deaths, restraint chair deaths. The guy in the wheelchair, the pregnant woman who bled out in front of guards over a period of weeks, the diabetic they ignored pleading for help and lots more.

    Nickle Bag's jails do not save money or lower recidivism. They cost us taxpayers tens of millions extra because he can't or won't control the thugs he hires, they kill people, and the taxpayers settle the lawsuits.

    Doesn't matter, so long as he can arrest news guys in the middle of the night on trumped up charges, those Sun City voters will still flock to him simply because he's old, he's ugly and he talks tough just like the idiots who blindly support him.

    For low information voters, results are meaningless. Only the big dance numbers staged for the TV cameras matter.
