I wish my ancestors had some gallant battle history in the Civil War but as far as I know, nothing. They were Yankees living in Wisconsin at the time of the war, as best I can figure out they sat it out.

MY GGF wasn't to much gallant,but he was fighting an invasion.....A kid 18 years old doesn't know what he is fighting for other than for his family....His brother Ira Creel was captured and paroled 3 time(Shiloh, Vicksburg, and Spanish Fort) before the wars end...46th Mississippi, Co. I...
