Vegetables, my grandfather used to encourage my nephew and I to eat them saying in his broken English that they, whatever the offering was, would make us strong. "Like Bull" he would tell us.
Seems be be true according to what scientist say the Gladiator's diet was. Pretty interesting show on a gladiator graveyard that was discovered.
