as much as i cannot stand newt, i think he would be the best man for the job
"NO" on Romney!..he is vindictive , and would do anything to kill Trumps Presidency!
Is this fact or rumor????
Mitt Romney has met with Trump and the word is for consideration as Secretary of State.
I notice new people commenting.....does that mean?...

We do think alike. I have no doubt that he would be another warmonger like The Hildabeast...no doubt whatsoever. Trump could not in any way control this man from ruling like the typical progressive coastal elite that he is. Just my two cents.
Capt. Jack Sparrow.
I personally do not care for Mitt Romney. I agree, an honorable man. Just not the man, we need at this point.
I was never a big fan of Newt, while he was in office. However, having listened to him speak, on a number of issues over the course of this past election cycle.
He is a very smart, articulate, competent presence, with a firm grasp on current affairs, and the World in general. I could get behind, that pick.

I'm hopeful, the meeting, was just to iron out their differences. I am hopeful, Donald Trump, would not offer Mitt Romney the job of Sec./State.
I am also hopeful, confident, that Romney, would not accept
the position.
Maybe he would?? I don't know the mans mind. I'm hopeful, not.
I would prefer to see, Newt Gingrich, as Sec. State.

There's nothing honorable about what Romney thinks about the Confederate flag, and how he treated the kid from Texas that asked him about it.
I do think Newt should get this post.
I think Gingrich would be a great Sec. of State.
He knows politics, articulate and smart.
Romney reminds me of John Kerry. 2 peas in a pod.

That is exactly, what I missed saying in my post. Spot on Sir.
I saw Rand Paul whining about Bolton on TV this AM and threatening to withhold his Senate vote.
Thanks Kentucky, for electing that insufferable weenie.
JOHN BOLTON PLEASE
Great minds think alike, Ricci!
Evidently you and I do, too!
JOHN BOLTON PLEASE
I'd be good with that also Ricci.
He could be on the list, but likely not.
I'd prefer to see Rudy or Bolton, both tough SOB's.
JOHN BOLTON PLEASE
Now this one I agree with you on...SCOTUS not so much. Bolton would be awesome!!
The choice is less important than the Policy the Secretary is told to sell. Mitt has the charm to sell it across the globe. He is an honorable and quite successful man.
I think he's like the Hildabeast, i.e. a rogue warmonger in the OBama cbinet. I don't think Obama wanted the conflicts that she was involved with, but maybe I'm wrong. I say stay away from coastal elites.

Think that is a LIBERAL press fantasy but anything can happen.
I say this with respect. I think Mitt Romney might be the best man to fix the VA problem. If he did fix it, I'd gain a lot of respect for him.
This has a chance of happening.

That sounds like an excellent idea.

I beg to differ, this guy has a very pronounced liberal streak down his back side, so not to be trusted.
I'll be surprised if Trump picks him for anything except I'm not vindictive at all press prop up.
Capt. Jack Sparrow.
Do ya s'pose we ought to send a link of this thread to Mr. Trump so he can have the benefit of our wisdom???[:D]
Yeah. Great idea! [;)]

I'll leave that in your capable hands, Chris!

That would certainly be a much more fitting post for him, IMO.

Indeed I do! Run with it for us!!!!!!
Either Gingrich or Bolton would be preferable to Romney.

Yea,...he really has turned out to be a putz.
I prefer Bolton for what it's worth.
JOHN BOLTON PLEASEYep, I agree!!!!!
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Jeanine Pirro (If she would take it. In her position, it would be a step down).
or
Scott Walker Walker could be trusted not to sell us out I think.
