Verizon Internet....

AT&T told me today that I would have to wait until Wed. to have aTech come out to fix my DSL....I said that I was a business that lived on the internet....they said that is why I was getting priority service...went to Verizon, bought a WIFI box, and now I'm back on line...all three and my wifes putters are on line...By By AT&T...[:o)]

    ATT will never learn from their past. Never helped with my modem problems in the 80's.

    Did use them for a prepaid phone when out of the U.S.

    Probably 5/6 years ago google issued me a phone number and provided internet phone service for free, complete with call forwarding.

    Will never use att again. Have a T-mobile prepaid number that costs very little per year.

    I have been an AT&T customer for over 40 years...gradually moving away....I still have some land lines, but that may change in the future..

    I have AT&T cell service and noticed in the last month or two that they are getting bad about dropping calls...a real pain in the derriere.

    We have Verizon MiFi...."unlimited" except as soon as you hit 10gb usage they turn your speed down to 3g [V] We usually get 4g for about 5 days of the cycle then it is terribly slow 3g for the rest of the month. I can't even play videos without it buffering, Verizon sucks. We used to be able to buy data by 10gb increments and they eliminated that plan. Verizon sucks [:(!], but we have few options where I live, no cable, DSL sucks and HughesNet is a disaster.

    They are all hit and miss on features and pricing. We live near the edge of the ATT tower reach. When we called about the call drops. The y sent us a free repeater that plugs in and restores signal.

    Hope mine works...I only use it for internet mail,and this site...

    Many stocks doing great ATT + Verizon not so much.
    Why? They suck as bad as Comcast and that's REAL bad LOL

    Have two of the worst Verizon as my Call Phone. Land Line Century Link Have to have the land Line cause No Cell service reaches my Place.

    Don't expect any better customer service out of Verizon though!
    Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

    This thread made me wonder if my T-mobile phone account was current, it wasn't. Added $10 and paid up until Oct. Need to put it on my Calendar.

    Minimum charge is $3 per month and won't use auto pay. Hard to fix problems if you're gone.

    I recommend you order a spare modem. My Verizon Westell Modem failed after a few months. Verizon sent me a new one after online troubleshooting to verify modem was bad, but that took 2 days. In the meantime I went back to an earlier model Westell that had been working fine for years. I am keeping the one Verizon sent as a spare. Evidently pretty common for the currently supplied modems to fail. Actually here we are now Frontier DSL as they bought Verizon local service.

    same verizon here....highest priced on the market...i have backed up twice now on V...not again ..try to find some way better

    AT&T has been up and down but mostly up the last few weeks.

    They really had a big rally 2 weeks ago. They came back down but are up again to over $37.

    They pay a decent dividend too.

    wasn't a modem problem...line cut down the rd...
