Survey: 70% Of Americans Want Feds To Keep Their Hands Off The Confederate Flag
According to a recent survey conducted by Suffolk University and USA Today, 70 percent of people do not want the federal government to move forward with banning the sale of the Confederate flag.
Liberals have been pushing the issue ever since the Charleston shooting, and especially after a photograph was released of shooter Dylann Roof posing with the flag. Still, it seems like the majority of America is keeping their head about the issue, given that the survey was taken right at the heat of the controversy.
Even after Gov. Nikki Haley's pleads that the Confederate flag be removed from Southern Carolina's capitol grounds, 49 percent of respondents claimed that the flag "represents Southern history and heritage and is not racist." 34 percent of participants believe the flag should be removed from official locations.
Only a mere 19 percent feel that there should be federal action banning the sale or manufacture of the flag.

A Federal Ban on the sale of the Confederate flag? Do what? What ridiculous bull excrement. I can buy a NAZI flag, a CHE flag, a MAO flag but not a Confederate flag, what an asinine concept. I wish they'd publically name the politicians that even uttered such an idiotic idea.
Hopefully this backlash that is taking place against the hatred spewed by so many against all things regarding Southern heritage will continue to grow.
Well now Kimi, I gotta throw in with the liberals on the issue of "Sweet Tea" [xx(][xx(][xx(], but they dayam well better leave grits alone![:(!][:(!][;)]
[}:)]He D, "The road to hell is paved with compromise." [;)][:D]

Die of sweet tea, yeah, I can believe that is likely.[:(]

Sounds about right. Would not want to see any form of free speech or expression ever banned by the Feds. Much as I do not like some of them, even despise some of them, that's how this country is supposed to work.
Problem is people file lawsuits and lawsuits climb up through the appeals process. If they climb high enough they eventually force action in Federal courts. What should never become a "Federal Case" is made into one by the people pushing it.
However much I may dislike the results, this too is the American way of doing things.
And they think only THEY should be those bureaucrats.

As a boy I always drank sweet tea. My Memaw's was the best. There would be a 1/4 inch of undissolved sugar at the bottom of the pitcher. Pure nectar! At some point in college I went to unsweet, since I do go through several quarts a day and there is no way my metabolism can deal with that much sugar. Only place I would ever have sweet was at Memaw's house. After she died, I don't think I have had sweet tea since.
Her Mother made some really sweet tea as well and I'm sure it did contribute to her diabetes. Lost a leg and her sight to it. Still lived to be 98.
we need a federal BAN on IDIOTS
That would pretty much clear out the Capitol Building.
we need a federal BAN on IDIOTS
That would pretty much wipe out everybody north of the Mason Dixon Line and West of the Continental Divide.
