...since the last major engagement of the War Between The States......Will be reenacted March 28th (due to scheduling) 2015 at The Blakely State Park Battlefield....I will attend this function to honor my GGF who served in the 46th Mississippi Co. I...These gallant souls held off a numerically stronger force for 4 days....Prior to this event, I will journey to Selma , Al. to witness the dedication of the NBF memorial cemetery so graciously given by the DOC to honor all the brave soldiers that dared to defend the South from Northern Aggression.....Heritage is a wonderful asset....

    sounds like a nice remembrance of a lot of brave men .
    may they all RIP
    I know some of my past relative's served I hope to research and see what I can find out.

    I know of one who was hanged by the town after returning home but that's a story in its self

    LOL! We may be kin!?? You know David, its not about being a Yankee are a Confederate, its about the greatest tragedy in American History...We killed more of ourselves than any other war in our history.. Suicide by POLITICS..

    What is sad is that it did not have to happen. All the people that fought were brave to give up their lives or future for some thing they thought was important but in the end did not matter.
