Well, it's that same ol'same ol' story... "Which is better?"

I must say that with this ammo... It pretty much makes NO difference.

    CNC machined ammo? I'll PASS![xx(]

Small fragmentation from a handgun round, regardless of performance consistency? Again, I'll Pass

I'm more interested in penetration with the largest effective diameter projectile possible.

45 ACP hollow points for me.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

The 9mm works just fine, but if I had to use a auto loader I would prefer a 45acp, but then I prefer revolvers so my choice is the 357 Mag.

I like both carry a 45 ( a 380 sometimes ) . but like one of my cc instructors pointed out , if you can not shoot it with confidence and flinch pull it off target recover fast . your better off with a smaller round you can control
I think his words were ( he was a deputy sheriff ) " a 22 in the eye is better than a 45 in the thigh any day"

with the advancements in ammo design they continue to say the 9mm is equal to the 45 of yesterday .
to me that just means the 45 is a lot better also [:D]
I have also had the reason from many at work the 9mm is cheaper to shoot so that's why they went with it ,

If you are not a good shot the extra 12 rounds in some 9mm might make up the difference.....

I have confidence in them both, and it depends on my mood and the situation as to which I carry.

    Both are excellent bullets...

.45 slightly heavy and bulky. More recoil. However hard hitting.

9mm light and slight. Less reoil. Rabbit punchs that run deep.

    Pick your passion[:o)]

Disregarding one's personal opinion on which is "best", one thing cannot be questioned.

A 9MM in your holster is absolutely, no question about it, 100% better than your 45ACP you left at home!

...the extra rnds for me,is staying alive!I like the higher capacity of the Browning Hi Power over all the other nines...A well placed nine can do the same as a 45....I just like the balance and feel of the Browning...Look at the crosses in Europe!I guess its all with what your comfortable with..[;)]

All that "Blooming" effect and doing a 180 degree flip, CNC machining of the bullets is all window dressing.

From what I saw in the Video is there was not much penetration.

As far as 9mm vs 45 goes as Hilliary would say; "What difference does it make"

Bullet placement and penetration are all that really matter and IMO that ammo comes up short in the penetration department.

I'm a 9mm guy. I have confidence in the new high performance rounds like Hornady Critical Duty. It also is the most economical for me, whether it be factory or handloads.

conversely the 45acp in your holster is 100% better than the 9mm you left at home. Probably also better than the 9mm in your backup holster.

Just once I'd like to see someone do their whiz bang ammo/gel block testing with a down vest and denim jacket pulled over the gel block. While they're at it, how 'bout a piece of 16g sheet metal to simulate a car door or small section of hollow core interior door to simulate, of course, an interior door.

They already do those type of tests.

I remember a story from a WW2 veteran. He had a poor opinion of 9mm. He told me that he was on patrol in France in 1943, when a German suddenly jumped out of cover and opened up on the squad with a MP40.

He said the lead man took 9 rounds from the crotch to the neck. He died, but before he did he was able to kill the German with his M1.

The old guy shook his head, said he couldn't imagine that happening had the attacker been using a Thompson.

Most all the WW2 veterans, liked their 30 carbine over a 45.....I did...MOst of the issue 45's I ever pulled a trigger on,would hit 2 out of 7...I'm sure the 1500.00 plus Kimbers and Colts work better, but I like the Browning Highpower over all of them...That's why I no longer own a 45....BTW,growing up here in the south,22's killed more game and people than any other caliber..[:o)]
