My Wife Is Tougher Than I Am

I can honestly say that if it was not for my wife i would not be here today.
After my first surgery they had to come in my room every 2 hours and put a machine in my mouth to make sure the veins they replaced were working and not leaking. The nurse would do it every 4 hours and a doctor every 4 hours. That way it was done every 2 hours.
There were 2 doctors that my wife named dumb and dumber that would take forever after my wife saw tears in my eyes she told the doctors to let the nurse do it. She was fast and little hands. They had to do that for 2 weeks.
The first time i was operated on i stayed in the hospital a little over 3 weeks. During that time my wife never left my side. She slept in a chair. The only time she left was to get coffee. Family would bring her clothes and food.
She took care of me better than the nurses and doctors. My doctor was amazing anytime my wife needed him he would pop up night or day.
When i was going through chemo/radiation it put me flat on my back for over 6 months. My wife would set her clock every 2 or 4 hours and wake up and give me medicine and then go back to bed. She did this for over 6 months.
I was so weak she would plug a machine into me and would feed me while i was sleeping.
I had 5 surgeries for cancer and every time my wife never left my side. I felt bad for her. She never complained about anything except when she thought i was not getting proper care.
My wife was a rock and a drill sergeant at the same time. I honestly think that if it was not for her i would have died. When the doctors would tell her it was time for me to start moving around again she would push me to start moving around.
Even now she pushes me to do things around the house. She will put the things she wants done on the fridge and i will do that first before i do the chores i want to get done.
When i was sick i was in PCU that is where a nurse is always in the room with you. Spouses are not allowed to sleep there. She talked her way into staying in the room.
Then when i was in ICU my wife stayed in the room with me. She never left my side except for coffee. LOL
I honestly think if i was married to somebody else i would be dead by now. She pushed me to do things when i did not want to. She is still pushing me now sometimes. It is amazing that she never pushes to hard.
She will make a to do list and she never gets mad if i dont do it. She just tries to make me do a little something every day.
She is truly an amazing woman and i am lucky to have her. She is truly 1 in a million.
