gonna be in the 20's tonight. The deer already have extra heavy coats and the elk are already down in the valleys...the bees are extremely active, but not in the valleys...they are thick at slightly higher elevations. We may be in for another rough winter...

Yep, our summer has given way to rain. That's what passes for winter here[xx(][xx(] I can not wait to get back to my mountains!!!
We'd like to see you back over this way...might get more opportunities to do some more shooting.
How's your neighbor doing?

He turned 92 on July 31. He was in the hospital for a week just before the Fourth of July. He has had in home care since he got out, 24 hour at first and it is down to 10 hours now but that is as low as it can go. He needs someone to cook his meals, help him dress, bathe, clean house, etc. The old feller is running out of steam though, he just sits in his chair and watches tv. Cool old guy though.
We go up at least twice a day, morning and evening, sometimes more to see if he needs anything and to take his dog for a walk.
where the heck are you ECC?? winter already??? are above the artic circle?
Northern Idaho...still gets warm during the day...just going to be a cold night...and a long winter, I fear.
20's sounds good right now, but I know it must get old.
Where the heck do you live? Temp was in the high 90s here today.
Change is in the air here also, in a relative sense...
+1
The heat has been kinda "spotty" this summer here.
I'm expecting a cold winter too......we sure as hell are due for one
