Here ya go, a 2011 camaro with a supercharger $55k 585hp

in a straight line and 50 times faster or a road course
i still like it, but it , but the gtr is the best buy in a super high performance car

For that price you could buy a very nice suped up edition Ford, Chevy or Dodge sports car that goes just as fast and have heaps of cash left, and be able to get in it

id rather buy a car that is more in line with the availability to use its features and spend the rest of the money of other things that i can actually use; but i understand the desire to be able to sit in a bar room and brag about how fast your car can go(even though its illegal and drastically unsafe to do so on the open road and you've never actually done it).....
Like speeding on a motorcycle and crashing......then sitting around with pins and screws holding you together and bitching about hindsight?
again, with the reading comprehension deficit...
i said i understand the mentality of having a car whose abilities you can only brag about and not actually use. while its impractical and financially inefficient, i see the draw. i just dont care to partake myself.
a gtr will destroy that camaro!

Umm....maybe in a straight line, but I hightly doubt it on a road course. That big heavy AWD car wouldn't hold it's tires very well as compared to the Camaro. [;)]
Jon
I was just reading yesterday about Nissan producing a turnkey race car 370z. I think the cost was $139,000 or so, and recommended replacement interval for the motor was just over 3,000 miles. Not 3,000 miles between oil changes. 3k between motors.
the 370 is my current "dream car."
But dollars per fun, I think the Corvette has it beat.
Mazda Miata would be right behind.
Then, if I could only find a Sunbeam Tiger...

No offense, Jon, but I think you should research that GT-R A little more. It is currently one (13th) of the fastest production road cars to lap the Nurburgring (the true test). And most of them are ULTRA high dollar cars...Maserati MC12, Ferrari Enzo, Gumpert Apollo, Radical R8(LM style build), Pagani Zonda, and the Porsche GT.
That Camaro can't hold a candle to it.

On the other hand, if you can afford one of these and know enough about it to purchase one, you probably know how to drive it well. From this you may also be a car club member. These clubs have track days and you can get in it on the track 3-4 weekends a month. Locally the Porsche club has hosted many a track day. It's a growing trend.
True "cool" owners don't sit around and brag about their cars.
A 188mph Audi has more bang than that.
I knew that was coming [:D]
Both cars are out of my budget, but I have driven both and they are great cars. The Vette will have over all better reliabilty for oyou. As everyone knows a caddy is a money pit. But it's a sharp car!Now does having aq car that does 200 instead of a car that does 175 mph worth $15-$30K? You are never going to run them wide open so why pay more for more of what you can use
