Didn't want to further hijack Ladyhunter's thread. In that thread, you mention a hydraulic trigger release. I know what they are, and assume they work well.

Theoretically speaking, could a person make a remote control work the same way, if you used strong enough servos to work the trigger? I don't plan on doing such a thing, as I'm sure there's some stupid law out there banning such a thing, but it made me curious if such an arrangement would work as well as the hydraulic type. I've seen you talk about remote control stuff here before, so I figured you might know.

Your payment to me is two fold.

One. Make amends with your wife and love her to death. Only you two can figure this out and make you senior years the best they can be.

Two. Just your friendship. Nothing more. I think the world of you and your family as I followed the life of LB. I would rush home at night, just to follow the story of LB and see his antics on the forums. LB not only brought your family joy and then sadness, but it also brought all of us the same emotions. Life is so precious and you showed us all how wonderful a person and family could be. Now show that love to your wife.

    Your Friend, John[:)]

Your The auto tech around here, and I've got an easy Q for ya.

Okay. 91 GMC 1500 Sierra with the 305.
It's got a knock in the engine I'm not familiar with.
It sounds almost like a rod knock or even piston slap. What has me confused is it's intermittent. Nothing at or near engine speed. Might knock once or twice and then again after 15-45 seconds or maybe even a minute or two or longer. Comes from near the rear of the engine, and RPM/load makes no difference.

    This'n has me stumped.

Almost forgot. Tone/pitch and volume varies.

    HI Dennis:
I am now in SA. Hope to meet up with you any time you are available this week.

I have a problem I hope you can help with. My grandson has torn the rear end out of his 1999 Wrangler and needs ring & pinon gears installed. Who would you recommend and what would reasonable labor fee be??Best, Tom

Birthday today!! Get to celebrate with my son and his family. Going to Italian restaurant tonight.

Can't believe it has been that long! Seen good times and not so good times. Don't think I have had any really, really bad times. Have had heartbreaks and pains but nothing compared to some people I have known. I have been really blessed.

Have my health problems and COPD is slowly killing me but what the heck, I am still here!! I intend to haunt this forum for many years to come!

Life is still good. I am sitting at computer and having a Guinness extra stout for breakfast. Just don't get any better than that. Best, Tom
