Brokedown and bought a new computer

This one will be 7yo in February and I thought it was about time to replace it. It's been another good Dell. Gonna change the hard drive in this one then get it ready to place on eBay. One on eBay now at $286.00 and mine is absolutely "loaded". Bought another Dell (Vostro) from Dell's Outlet and saved about $300.00 from buying "new". If you've never checked out Dell's Outlet, go here. There's also a Dell Business Outlet which is where I bought mine.

I bought a new computer this year and it is money well spent.
A good computer is so much more enjoyable.

Yep, time to replace our 8 year old Dell Dimension 8200 Desktop with a Dell Studio XPS 9100 Desktop. Hmmm, might just order it tonight! [:)]

If you do sell it, you might be able to sell the memory out of it. If I recall, those use the expensive and still hard to find RAMBUS memory. If it is just DDR memory then it won't be worth much, but the RAMBUS will bring you a little change.

U can build your own MONSTER for 1/2 what U'll pay anywhere else.AND all the parts are guaranteed!!
It's a lot easier than U think,to assemble a PC.Mine would have cost over $2300 to buy as a "CUSTOM", from Dell.I put it together for under $400,INCLUDING 250GIG HDD AND WINDOWS XP..ALL THE BELLS N WHISTLES and a cool lexan case with cool neon lights i can turn on or off..[^]

Be careful FK, it starts out like that, then you build 'em bigger and bigger. I recently built a triple-loop water cooled computer with 4 GPU's, a highly overclocked quad-CPU, 6 hard drives in RAID, etc. [:p]

Yeah, it is overkill but it was a fun project, it's my hobby, and it is also what I do for a living. I've taken it to work several times and we ended up selling a few other exotics that wouldn't have happened without demo'ing it. [:D]

fishkiller - you have tripped my curiosity(we have put off upgrading/repacing this POS too long), start a thread and tell about your project, may be enlightening to many.
