Phone call from my oldest son....

His Mother (my ex) committed suicide this morning.....shot herself in the head while her boyfriend was at work.

i am sad. Not for her, or me, but for my son.

Please think good thoughts or pray, if you are of a mind to.

I am not sure. I haven't had much contact with her in the last 18 years.

I know she had some health problems, both physical and mental. She always has. Perhaps she was tired of fighting the fight....I just don't know.

Whatever the reason, I hope she is at peace now.

I'm twice your son's age and a lady I knew well took her life. Age has little to do with people close to her asking themselves if there was something they could or should have done to prevent this tragic event.Were there warning signs we overlooked.. Questions, questions.

Hurt, guilt and anger (rightly or wrongly) are emotions that those left behind must deal with in trying to make sense of her death.
