    A) Does your friend have an ammo dealers license?

    B) Do you?

No license, no sell, as far as I understand it.

Ask the State Police....they seem to have a good handle on the SAFE Act procedures.

Sorry, Woody, I'm of absolutely no help on this one.

    ""ammo dealers license""

Never heard of it unless you import or manufacture it.
The 1968 law on ammo was knock out as far as I know.

There must be millions of hardware stores that sell ammo with out any type of FFL.

You can buy and sell him anything that is not a firearm.
Only thing to be worried about are the income taxes and sales tax on his end.

Same as him buying local grown tomatoes and selling them.

You are selling "HIM" ammo not his store. If he sells it at a business, thats his worry about reporting profits.

Just checked on some of New Yuk's laws.

It may seem that he needs to keep records of his sales for one year.

As long as you are not in the business of selling ammo yourself, you
should be okay. Me thinks he should "give" you the money first to go pick up some ammo for him. Get the idea.

After the Safe Act came in there is a provision that states that you CAN NOT SELL AMMO unless you have a license to sell it or an FFL in the state of NY.. This was part of the plan with the background checks on ammo etc that was slated to start but never did.. All FFL's are grandfathered as "licensed ammo sellers".. Not sure how others would qualify to sell it..

I will happily license you to sell ammunition.
