Split tongue is when two people are carrying on a conversation in two different languages.
The languages can not be the mother tongue of the country ur in.

Example:
One speaks in French and the other in Chinese's
Both can understand each other.

I have not heard of this until a month ago at a night club.

A Japanese women was speaking to another person in a foreign language.

The person I was with was Japanese and he said, she is speaking Japanese and he was answering her in a different tongue. Then he would speak Japanese and she would answer him in another tongue.

Do u have a partner that u can do this with?

You can do it on any two CB radios that have tunable receivers.

First guy puts his transmit on channel 19, receiver on channel 8

Second guy puts his transmit on channel 8, receiver on channel 19

You can drive people crazy jumping back and forth trying to hear what you're saying!

Oh, wait -- you said speak two different languages --- never mind.

Yes..... my X-wife, she knows how to speak German and English, but I only know how to understand German, but I can't speak it good enough to comunicate, so if she has something to tell me that she doesn't want others to know, she says it in German, and I answer her in English

Common here in Tucson, especially among the Indians. You'll hear them speak English, Spanish and their Indian languages, all at once! Pretty neat to listen to, because the native speakers don't even realize they are doing it!
