Wow, you sure changed my mind Jim. I don't go to the movies but I do rent pay per view and even though your penguin movie didn't look so hot I rented it anyway. It sucked BTW. Anyway, being so all knowing and successful you won't miss the measly few bucks I have to spend ever again.
You have earned a place right up there with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts on my no-buy list (their careers have been just stellar after letting the people know how far left they lean huh?) but unlike liberals, I won't try and force everyone else into my way of thinking.
No, I'll do my small part and I suspect others will do the same. With the vast amount of free time you are about to have in the future I suggest you think long and hard about just who it is you are trying to attack.....gun owners. I'm going to buy an AK in your honor and 5,000 rounds of ammunition.
I wasn't sure if I was going to buy it but you convinced me. But before you go getting your hollywood depends all in a bunch, please understand that an assault weapon has selective fire, meaning semi-auto, 3 round burst, and full-auto.
This will just be semi-automatic and although it looks scary it's neither a machine gun nor an assault rifle (I really wish you hollywood types would stop "profiling" and "stereo-typing" weapons).

It appears as though Jim Carrey is down on his luck.

I guess even as a Hollywood elite when one openly insults your paying customers in rural America and Moses as Jim Carrey does then you are bound to be forgotten.

Jim Carey was funny in "The Mask" and "Dumb Dumber".... only problem is, he still thinks he's funny.

I have no reason to assign validity to what an entertainer has to say about anything outside their craft.

It's proof of his ignorance that he thinks that this is about children's safety, and proof that he's a narcissistic * for doing the vid and thinking it's going to mean something.[;)]

Beck stated that the reason Carry wants his name out there is that his latest movie just released did not return the revenue projected. Sounds like his attraction to the public has waned on the film front.

Carrey's Canadian, so that would explain his anti-gun stance.

He's entitled to his opinion, but opinions should always be backed up with supporting accurate facts. In the absence of those, it's just talking to hear oneself speak.[xx(]

His style of "humor" was always lost to me.

    Never understood the attraction.

His opinions are about as credible as can be expected for someone with delusions of reference.

When entertainers become overly annoying in their political activities I just stop paying them any mind.

Carrey was funny in movies where someone could ride herd on his excessive potty mouth. THE MASK was great. ME, MYSELF & IRENE was awful when doing the parts he wrote. There were stories about it at the time, only way I'd know.

Used to like Tom Cruise and his action-adventure work. That went into the crapper with his Scientology craziness. Can't stand to even look at his old work now, not about to watch his new stuff.

Used to like Julia Roberts but darn it she doesn't like to share the view, if you take my meaning. Never thought she was good enough a talent without that element. So got tired of that act. Never even got to her politics before I gave up on her work.

Alec Baldwin, can't stand the guy. First he was going to flee to Canada. That was all noise. He has since said he often thinks about running for the Senate.

    Wish he'd gone to Canada.

SO Jim Carry has allowed his routines to be influenced by politics? It was not funny when comics were forced into this role in the 30's and 40's and it's even less funny today in America.

This guy loves death metal too, I guess he's forgotten about how they tried to ban that.

You mean like Charlton Hesston? Like Tom Selleck?

Or does your statement only apply to entertainers who say things you aggree with?

You cant have it both ways...just saying.

For the record...I will not be spending my money to see another one of Jim Carreys movies....I am thinking about a White House petition to deport him back to Canada.......

    die
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Mocking dead people is fairly low.

Haven't seen much of Carrey's later stuff. I think 'The Man in the Moon' was the last one, so a statement that I will boycott his work for how he expresses his political leanings would be meaningless.

He is just another Limousine Liberal trying to tell others how to live or whats good for them and whats not. I never cared for his stupid slapstick comedy and like him even less now.

And he needs a big check book and lawyers to secure his place in the world. He's a P.O.S. in my opinion. He made a couple of funny movies, but still they are just second rate.
We will see just how in demand his crap is in 40-50 years. I bet Hestons movies will out sell him in the long run.
So he makes childish faces and sounds, big deal. He can't act.

    ...
Would have been REAL interesting to have seen what would have occurred if Heston was alive...

    Gotta agree on two points...

One: Carey is NOT doing as well on the film front and so has to have his name out front in the public eye so as NOT to be forgotten...
So he believes that pulling current political delusions into his routine will gain him that notoriety he so craves...

Two: The fact that his comments (although he may think that it's political satire) places him in the midst of other narcissists...
Puts him near at the bottom of my list of entertainers. I have no desire to watch his stuff anymore...

I know I'm but one amongst millions... But I believe I'm not alone on this.
