Anything to make more money, after all he sure isn't making much off from winning races
I suppose he made a bit more than you did last year though. [;)]

True, but I was able to spend more time with my family, that is worth far more then traveling around the country loosing races week end and week out
I am suprised Pepsi/Frito Lay is OK with Jr. pimping product for one of their competitors.

W.D.,
Are you tossing facts into a great pointless rant again? [:0]
Where will that get you with 'The Fans'? [;)]

20 Million Rednecks, good ole boys and Nascar Junkies will buy them just because his mug is on the package......sound like good marketing to me.
Red Neck? Is that the same as Negroe? Are is it like Cracker?Anyone that buys Jr's products are the same?....Hell,he may be better than a Farmer...Sure makes a lot of money...Bet no one would call a football junkie aRed Neck...

Buy one and sell it 20 years from now.[:D]
I laughed my tail off when people bought everything they could get their hands on when Dale Sr. was killed. They all thought that they would make a killing on EBay. Every single one of them lost money big time.

Open the package and it will taste exactly the same in 20 years as it does today. [;)]

Problem is his son is no Dale Sr. Even with Dale Sr they made so much stuff right there alone kills the value. Todays marketing they make so much stuff thousands and millions of it are made, which almost guarentees no special value. Sr. also hasnt been dead long enough to kill off some of the inventory that some have and to just let age value the stuff. Most of that stuff is crap. Maybe if you had something unique that was signed etc it might have value.
Typically for collector items to have value your looking at a minumum 30 year soak period, and probably closer to 40-50 years, and even then its going to depend on what the item is. Your standard flag, match box car or die cast car isnt going to have any value, at this point your talking actually items owned by Dale Sr. etc.

Rather smart Red Neck, I'd say.[:)]

Certainly as smart as any red neck riding their daddy's coat tails.

Read it again....said nothing about the guy....I said it was great Marketing. My Uncles from Missouri called themselves "Rednecks" they were proud, hardworking family men. If it is something derogatory to you then I guess we have different ideas of what that means....
I'd rather watch 40 red necks drive in a circle a whole lot more than I would like to watch 10 black guys run up and down the basketball court and jump up in the air every 20 something seconds to see who can stuff a ball in a hole!

True dat!
Actually, if the 10 black guys were to play basketball on a NASCAR track during the race, THAT would be entertaining!!!
