with all the hype of the AWB in the future is there a chance these guns will be worth more than other rifles? I have wanted a M1a for years and im building a AR, so I was thinking of holding on to it and maybe selling it and buying the M1a. I know the M1a will probably be included in the ban but with everyone going crazy over the AR platform right now I think they will be worth more that other rifles.

Predicting the future is never easy. You make your best guess and deal with the results of your fortune or folly. I sold one of my AR's this past week for a nice piece of change. It may be 30 years before it increases in value, or maybe not.

You are correct when you lable the AWB "hype". Until a bill is submitted, much less even voted on, that's all it is.

    Use your best judgement.

I don't think you can loose either way.
I'm building my 2nd AR15 now. the one i finished last year cost just under $1000 for parts. today, those same parts cost just over $1400!
two years ago i bought a colt sporter 9mm pre ban for $1150. now theyre selling for $1600 and up!
I'm trying to gather up the parts for another build, this time an AR10.
these guns are much better investments than any of my stocks![B)]

Was looking at a "fixed price gun site " and the prices seem to be
way high or normal. The ones not selling were above 1500. 1200 and
below were gone. Lower rcvrs were about double a month ago

I have always wanted 2 rifles I am building one of them. the ban will take years to come into effect. BO has to deal with the economy first. and then he wants to bring home the troops in 6 months so I would think if a ban would come it would be in his second year. Im waiting on the company I want to have uppers in stock and I plan on getting a complete stock kit after christmas so I hope I can start saving up for the M1a. My new job will definatly provide the money I just have to be smart and but the right items.
