Oh it's terrible the quiet, my wife cooked the ground beef for taco's WITH the hot peppers and onions in it cause no one is there to pick them out or complain, she baked muffins with chocolate chips and I had to eat them all! I have more romo for guns and ammo, I actually got my own bedroom for guns stuff now! She even commented on how now she can run around the house nude and not worry who is coming in the door, made the mistake of saying it when I could hear it and got caught if you know what I mean hehe Oh the misery!
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Chevelle427 is correct, especially if you have daughters, they multiply. Boys leave, girls always come back to Dad.

Just make sure when they come back they are sleeping on the couch. It will make their stay shorter. I moved back to my parents after a house fire for a few months. It was horrible...

I guess there's a defference when it comes to step-kids. Don't get me wrong, I love my step daughter. Raised her since she was 10. But I was tickled pink when she moved out. And we have much better relationship since she did. She now seems to understand that I wasn't trying to be hard on her, just trying to be a father and teach her what needed to know to live in the world on her own.
But before it was horrible. Alot of "You're not my dad" stuff. To which I'd reply "I know, you can FIND ME! Try calling HIM next time you have a flat tire or need $20. to go to the movies."

We are getting a new tenant in our rental house. She is a divorced lady who , about 45, she has a 14 year old son and a 16 year old daughter.
She also has a 21 year old son who goes to college out of state. She told us that this son might come to live with her up here in Asheville.

She had one request before she signed the lease, that we would paint the extra bedroom a pastel blue. It is a pretty color, but it is feminine.
My girlfriend said to the lady, "Your son in college won't want to live in that room if it is painted this color."
    The lady said "I know."

You have to be proactive here. When my eldest son fell in love and moved the first thing I did was get rid of the bedroom furniture. Put in a large computer desk, a sofa of my moms, and 3 gun safes.
No where to move back in. It's worked so far.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

The wife and I raised 4 boys and finally got them all on their own. One son gets into trouble and we had grandkids living with us for 2 years. He got straightened out, grandkids finally went home and a cousin came to stay with us. Finally, my wife and I are on our own! It's about time after almost 29 years.

I'll bet you are just getting a sampler of living alone there mogley.
