Aguila .22 .....any experience??

Recently spotted some Aguila .22 sub-sonic rounds, 60gr. Are these decent rounds? I've never heard of Aguila before, thought someone here might have tested/shot these before. Better for rifles or pistols...or both?? Any opinions? Thanks.

We sold a bunch of it in the store when I was in retail....everyone liked it. No problems. Those little short shotgun shells and the aluminum bullets I wasn't very fond of, but the little 22's were great.

I wish I could find some. They are great, and hit like a hammer.
I check ammo at gunshows for them, they have been getting expensive.

I've used the 60 grain sub-sonic sniper. The most devastating .22 rimfire round I've ever tryed. One shot kills on everything I've shot with it. You have to have better followthrough shooting with it as it has more barrel time than regular .22 rounds. The 60 grain bullet is just barely stable leaving the barrel. When it hits something the bullet tumbles. Dave

They seem to jam in my semi-autos but run fine in my bolt action. Too expensive for plinking.

have some that is the primer actuated 22 w/20 grain bullets made to shoot in pistol only . very low noise[:0][;)]report ,but will do in a squirrel at 10-20 yards[:D]in my back yard[:0]

made in Mexico[:0]the name on the box is .22 Super Colibri ( no gun powder)

bought a brick about 10 yrs ago,have not seen any since.

Shot a few, cycled my ruger 10/22, and son's winchester semi auto with no problem, worked fine in my ruger MIII/45. Payed like $7-8 a box last year.
Have a whole different feel recoil wise when shooting, may just be the sound is different and you hear different noise and notice the feel more.

They Smell Different! They are accurate from my Ruger 77/22, at least out to about 50 yards, where they begin to show keyholing/Tumbling. They cycle both my Remington 552, and my Chiappa M4-22 Upper, with no problems feeding or ejecting.

The Manual on My OutbackIID Silencer specifically says that the 60 grain pills are not stable enough and may destroy the silencer, so I only shoot them without the Can.

Aguila has a full range of .22 ammo, and I have had great experience with them all.

I like Aguila in general. I have some SSS but don't use them much since they seem to foul up my revolver fast and don't provide an accuracy gain at the range.

I'm guessing they smell different due to the Eley primers. Eley ammo smells the same way.

Good stuff in my book. I use the super colbri's myself to rid the yard of rabbits.

I just bought a brick yesterday. $55 for 500 rounds. The SSS hit hard they suck in handguns but they are decent in rifle. I don't recall them working in auto. Noah you can get colbri and super colbri just look on the auction side or cabelas. I have a brick of ea SSS colbri. Super colbri and the super extra subsonics

Aquila is solid reliable ammo. It does smell funny. You cannot use their ammo in suppressors or it is not advised to do so.
