does anyone know if it is legal to own a 100mw green laser? i was under the impression that all lasers had to be 5mw or under in order to meet Federal laws. And what are the chances of the claim that it is 100mw power, that it is a valid claim. Thank you for your help--RRP5

when they first hit the market back in the 80's there was no limit on them, i had one that was 90mw, you could see it 4 city blocks away, not that it was useful at that distance, and probably 6 feet in diameter

so im not sure what use it really would have beyond 50 yards or so

I was planning on using it for hog hunting out of a helicopter since they just recently OK'd it for pilots to charge for that kind of service. The Texas Parks & Wildlife gave it's total blessing on that, as did the Feds. I thought I would need as much help staying on target, through the possible barf sessions that may occur while flying at odd angles and trying to keep it on target.Wish me luck, mostly for the pilot not getting any SPLATTER!Thank you for your help!
