I suspect these will eventually make their way into the factory production models.

Seems like a great modification to any Glock, for under $50.

If I owned a handgun, I would rather have something that removed the factory safetyfeature.
I would want it as simple and dangerous as I could get it, like a gun is supposed to be. Always ready.

But it IS an interesting twist of things.

There's also the Cominolli that gives you a 1911 type safety. Costs more and takes a little work to install. But I hear it works very well. If someone gave me a Glock, I would put one or the other of those on it.
But I won't buy another Glock.

best way to modify a Glock is to chunk the damn thing in the river and go buy a 1911!!

Could just wedge a piece from a Lego set in back of the trigger.

It would keep the plastic theme intact.[:D]

its kind of a cross bolt safety, except for the trigger.

I debated getting those before but never did. Reckon I still might.

One of the key selling points with a Glock is that there is no manual safety one has to operate before firing.

I don't see the company incorporating a manual safety when they've built themselves around the idea of there not being one.

I always thought eventually Glock'll come out with no safety.

I don't understand this hoopla about "not having a safety". So what? Neither do revolvers! Don't act like an idiot, and you won't shoot yourself.

"perfection" ...which of the 4 generations? And why, if they're "perfect" are there so many aftermarket parts? to make them less perfect? There are probably as many aftermarket parts for the ruger 10/22, but you never hear "10/22 perfection."

    hmmm.....

Well I think it's because they redefined "safety" to include things that aren't typically considered a safety. For instance, before gaston dreamed up his stuff, everybody thought that a safety was something that kept the gun from firing if the trigger was accidentally pulled. Now he's got 3 things on the gun that don't keep it from firing when the trigger is accidentally pulled, and he calls them all "safeties."

I have had my G26 for 7 years, never a problem. Just got G19, I have no reason to believe there will ever be a problem.

I don't understand the Glock bashing. Has any of the naysayers ever actually owned a glock and had a problem, or do they just complain about something they have never owned?

I don't have a 1911, but I want one. When I get it, I won't be inclined to throw either in the lake over which is superior weapon. They are both superior. One is heavy and one is not. One is ugly and the other work of art. One has 8 rounds, the other has anywhere from 10 to 33.
