I'm sure they did, they had to try to catch Beaver w/snares, no gun allowed.

Yeah, they had to fly a registered guide, w/a Bear tag ,before they could kill one..

Theu hunting Brown/Grizzly bear or Black bear? Don't need a guide for black bear as a non-resident.

They were hunting black bear with a Ruger .45, well my thought on that is......are you outta your F*#KKIN MIND!!! shoot a bear with a .45 and all your gonna do is PIZZZ HIM OFF! But the guide brought enough gun with him.......I wonder why?

They keep referring to the rifle as a "Ruger .45" - it is a number 1 rifle. I can't think of anything that it could be other than a .45-70 - plenty of rifle for a bear if the shot placement is right (which I would doubt watching the way they handle the gun)
