I have a nice little covey of quail that visits my wife's flower garden
and walk around the yard often. This one was the look out most of the time. I used to love to hunt them when I was younger and they were everywhere. Now I am just happy to see them again....

The fire ants pretty much killed them off.

Rare as hen's teeth in this neck of the woods.
I really enjoyed hunting and eating them.
I think it was mainly insecticides that slowly done them in around here.
The Honey Bees are going the same direction.
