Why try to put a dollar value on the firearms? Is your friend trying to dump the ATV and do a fast sale on the arms?

Your friend just needs to decide if he would be happy swapping his ATV for what is offered.

It's horse trading at it's best.

I don't find but a few of them worth having,..but that's me. Depending on the ATV and it's age and who rode it, it may be a losing deal for the ATV owner,..but if it has been ragged out, then the ATV owner gets the better deal.

i can't see it myself, there is only a couple of guns in that list i would purchase, taking some bad with the good doesn't apply when bad outweighs the good

They would be well bought for $2300 to $2400.

$3000 retail used at a shop, maybe $2300-$2500 on a trade. Personally I wouldn't want any of those guns and I'd tell the fella to sell them and bring me the 3k in cash for the 4 wheeler.

There is the word Taurus mentioned in that list a lot. If that 38 is stainless, it could be the one from off the bottom of the lake at Dale Hollow???????

All kidding aside, I see nothing collectable in there that would drive the combined price much above 200-2200 George Wasgington's.

The bike is a 02 Honda 400ex. If I was to sell the bike it would be around 2500, but the more I think about it the more I think it's a bad idea. The bike has alot of after market stuff on it and very few hours It would be comparable to a 06-07 in condidtion.
I know the dollar per dollar is there, but there's really not anything listed that I would get excited over either.

How did you ever make out with the dive to possibly find your gun? I am not saying that the bottom of the lake is not a good as place as any for the Taurus, but just curious.

400EX...that is like a torque monster on the low end...not quite like the Raptor, but is a pretty quick bike.

I hate to hurt your friend's feelings, but none of those weapons have any real long lasting value. They are at the bottom of the food chain.
I agree. Most of those are slow-movers. I wouldn't put more than about 50% of retail because you're going to have them for awhile.

I'll put it this way: You'll sell that ATV a lot faster. If he gave you $3,000 in cash, would you spend it all on these guns? I doubt it.

that rossi cyclops is a very nice pistol. Rossi's finest, which doesn't sound like much, but they put a lot of effort into that gun to make it compete with the big dogs on accuracy.

I'd do it. You can always get another ATV without filling out federal paperwork.

the cost of gas to put in the atv is as expensive as the lead you put in the guns to shoot.
problem is...guns last longer than atv's.
then again, you can ride that atv a lot more places than you can shoot the guns.
ehhh...each one needs tlc. guns need a safe and an atv needs a barn and crooks are always trying to get both. but the guns arent kept in the barn.
very rarily does a gun break. atvs? all the time.[;)]

a wouldnt do it. id keep the guns.

That is going to be a rough decision for her. Anything she likes either drinks gasoline, or eats gunpowder...can't hardly wait to see when she finds something that does both at the same time.

They will get more money out of them if they sell them one at a time. Anyone buying a large number of guns expects to get a price break and they will give a lower amount for the lot. If I were buying them this is what I would offer.....

    Taurus....$150 (stainless or $100 blue)
    10/22.....$150
    rossi.....$200
    romanian AK...$200
    nagant....$50
stevens.....$200 (if its the model I'm guessing it is)
    22a S&W.....$200
    Taurus 9mm....$200
    Mossberg.....$100
    24/7.....$250 (if it is a 45)
    Taurus 1911...$250

That is a ballpark on what is typically paid for these guns. An individual will give more, but a store is going to expect to make money on them. To me the quick money is worth it on this list of guns and I would just sell the lot to a store. None of these are "high dollar" and the small amount you would get from selling them individually wouldn't outweigh the hassle.

Well, you kinda have to retrieve that 38 from the bottom of a very large lake before you can trade it.
