Have a chance to purchase a Walther ppk 7.65mm ww2 that was taken off a German soldier with original leather holster and 2 clips. One of the clips has the a heel magazine and the gun does have the lanyard. Only problem is the safety is missing, other then that in good condition. What I need to know is it worth $200.00? Please let me know what you all think. Still can get the gun. If you want email me at grizz-wolf@mchsi.com. Thank you in advance.

What would be the manufacturing date of a Walther PPK 7.65 with a serial number of 9180xx? Your help is always appreciated. Thank you.

    PPK came in 7.62?
anyway, original PPK in operable condition is definately worth 200 buck!

I'd think,... "HELL YEAH"! Look for German/Nazi stampings on the slide. There may be matching numbers stamped on the holster to prove it's the original. I own a pre WWII Walther PP(same design and caliber, longer barrel and grip) that came with an "original" holster. Months later a dealer asked me,when I was asking about the values, "How do I know it's original?". Don't assume if there's no proof. My SWAG(scientfic wild * guess)would be at least $500, in fair condition with the saftey fixed. I could be low and if it's in VG or better it might be $1000 or more.
I paid $100 bucks for my PP, taken off a German officer, brought home, put in it's holster, put away and left for decades. It had some knarly pitting where it touched leather but I can still get $200 for it. It's actually one of my best shooters. Because of the way it was acquired, then I bought it privately, it's annonamous. There's no record of me having it, and most likely no record of it at all.
7.65mm also known as .32acp. I have no idea what it would cost to fix the safety. Price of the part plus labor. I wouldn't think over $100, maybe less, but I'd definitely buy it. Good luck.

Take the gun and run. Don't quibble over trivia. It's a steal.
You can always get a new safety.

Try searching the auction side, or Numrich.

And yes that is a steal!

    BTW, welcome to the forum.[;)]

the current PPK's have an internal striker safety AND a trigger safety. I dont know about the older ones, but I'm guessing they didnt have the striker safety.
so what part are you actually missing?
any chance you could post a pic of the gun?

Just bought the gun and holster. The holster has Akah D.R.G.M logo on it abd the gun has the crown on the barrel and slide. Just thought I would let you know. Thank again.
