    Nice buck.

Is that the same one that was later determined to have escaped from a high fence caged hunting operation? And the Wardens called it a fair kill due to it being outside of the fence?

That's my bet. Either that or it found a nice grain/mineral dump somewhere.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Not being a hunter, does one wait an hour before beginning the search to allow the meat to age properly?
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

No. It is thought that waiting before tracking a wounded deer will make them lay down and stiffen up rather than just continuing to run as you follow.

I have never tried it. I prefer to stick to one shot kills.

Yep, when you hunt with a bow, they typically don't die right away and will usually just go lay down and bleed to death while licking at their wound if you don't pressure them. If you track too soon, they can run a really, really long ways. And it happens to be one of the reasons I don't bow hunt. Like you Chris, I prefer a one shot kill.

This one was taken with a muzzle loader, and it appears that he didn't think it was a clean hit, so it's likely he employed the same thinking.

I've shot at a buck and missed and seen them run off with tail high in the air, so I have no idea what that guy is talking about in respect to that.

Boone and Crockett is approving this, so i am sure there is no question about the "high fence" issue. tennessee does not ban the use of minerals or supplements EXCEpt all must be removed from a hunting area no less than 10 days prior to a seasonquote:Originally posted by Mr. Perfect
