What do you consider the best bang for the buck? Not sure I am in the market, just curious. I bought a gen 1 monocular several years ago and I guess it was ok for the $ (about 100 bucks) and you could see a cat at 50 yds.
Looking at newer gen 2 & 3, asking price is all over the planet: $500 to 10 thousand bucks!! WTH!
What is a sane setup for a guy who just wants to see what is going on at 100 yards?
OH Yes, I am blind in L eye so monocular is good! Tom

Clearer, b/w images, daylight viewing, anti-blooming circuitry, better ir illuminators, some have rangefinders built in, and of the less than $1,000 scopes; the ATN DNVM has excellent imaging.
Just NEVER take the cap off your gen1,2 scope in daylight.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

50 ft. range sounds about right, from what I remember. Sure beats searching in the dark.
