What is the gun grabbers obsession with Pistol Grips??!!

I remember when I wanted to buy an SKS during the old assault weapons ban.

It couldn't have more then two or three of the bad things like a GRENADE LAUNCHER LOL, Pistol grip, Flash Suppressor or detachable high capacity magazine, and really a BAYONET LUG had to be ground off???!!! WOW.

Maybe it isn't in the Constitution but perhaps law makers should be required to educate themselves on a subject before passing laws.

and .50 caliber ban meaning .50bmg but to stupid to know the difference ,also includes s&w 500 and 12gauge shot guns

what I remember they took a ak ar and what they considered a military weapon looked at them and made the rules up based on what they saw trying to out law the guns , by stating no pistol grip no bayonet lug no barrel shroud no flash hider and so on, trying to describe the difference in a old school rifle and a the evil ones they wanted to ban
so the gun company's said ok . here it is no lug, no flash hider, no pistol grip we now a funky looking hole in the stock ,
it did not take long before the libtards realized there mistake and just came out and said these rifle(s) are out lawed [:(!]

yep, bans on features that protect the user makes perfect sense.
