Secret Service agent on paid leave

The Secret Service agent who said she wouldn't take a bullet for Trump, despite that being a job requirement, has been put on paid leave pending an investigation. She now says she shouldn't have said what she said. Hindsight is always 20-20. How do you feel about her comments in general and her paid leave in particular?

I'm okay with her paid leave pending an investigation, hopefully resulting in her termination.

As far as how I feel about her comments?? They were and are unacceptable in her particular line of work, and should result in her termination, in my opinion.

Why do you think thats a job requirement?

    I'm pretty sure it isn't.

in the real world refusal to do your job is cause for immediate termination at the discretion of management...............
just because you could doesn't mean you should

You can't un-ring a bell!!!! In this case, she can't be trusted in that job; you don't just take back that kind of statement. Perhaps a transfer to a lessor job within the government, like protection detail for squirrels that live in the White House trees.

Some folks (usually those that take no risk in their lives) work under the mis-conception that soldiers and cops, as well Secret Service in this case get paid to get shot and die. I doubt there is a specific policy that requires one to "take a bullet". There may be situations that result in "taking a bullet" however there is a big difference between risk and expectation. Anyways I agree with you.

    But that's just me.

But it was a very foolish thing for her to post.

    And that is just her.

I am sure you wouldn't be here defending Trumps's chivalry if he were to fire every woman on protective details

    But that's just me

While First Lady, being assigned to Hillary's detail was considered punishment from what I've read.
I wouldn't imagine anything has changed. A transfer seems to be in order.

I do not think that you apparently know me as well as you think, or enough to make such claims.

And that is you, for sure.

Can you show me one post that you have made here that's complimentary of Trump?

Put the biaych on paid leave and make it official that her service is no longer needed. An "attitude" imo like that is not needed in the Secret Service.

I have no problem with any SS Agent saying they won't take a bullet.
How many people would? I probably wouldn't.

But then I'm not an SS Agent and neither should she or anyone else of like mind either.

If she said it, her mind's already there.
Fire her liberal * and be done with it. [;)]

Apart from firing her....she should be left alone for now, as she declare her self as a total liberal NUT JOB.

She should be fired on the spot and all retirement severed.
If this had happened under Obama she probably would have been promoted, remember how that fool had a ceremony for the parents of deserter Bergdahl.

Who knows, Trump may actually punish her. She obviously should never have been hired in the first place.

Just another blatant illustration of the partisan nature of federal agencies. These are the types of people Barrack Obama and the DEMOCRATs hire.

Lerners, Holders, Lynches, all were hired for partisanship only. Need to drain the swamp.

She should certainly lose her job, but taking her retirement, something she has worked for, and contributed to for 23 years because of an ill advised public outburst is over the top.

Plenty of ignorant * comments are made everyday on this forum (myself included) and others and those folks don't deserve to be destroyed anymore than she does.

    She took an oath:
I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter. So help me God.
And her duty is clearly to protect the President, if she refuses to do her duty she needs to be removed.

Dumber than a plastic bag full of hammers.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain
