Check out the high bidders completed auctions. He's buying nothing but 22 ammo and he's buying all he can at any price. How many hundreds of thousands of rounds has be purchased? I don't think he's getting it cheap enough to resell at shows, he's just stockpiling it.

Hey if someone wants to buy, it is a time to sell, especially with prices like that.[;)]
Greed, just like morphine is good stuff.
Until it reaches poisonous levels in your head.
Contributing to the .22LR supply problem hurts everyone. Especially the youngest shooters we want to see taking up .22's and learning to punch holes in paper, knock over soda cans, learn to be safe and appreciate firearms.

new shooters will be shooting .22 Benjamin's before long [V]

Good lord mind your own business.
Some of those bids... A hundred dollars plus shipping for 500 rounds of .22? Some people have more money than sense. Wish I had more money [B)]
I still wouldn't pay those prices even if I had money.

Prepper?
Wannabe Gouger?
Hoarder?
Shopaholic?
Don't see anything wrong with the topic. Not interested enough to try and contact the buyer to ask him what's up, but the .22 ammo problem is big enough there's lots of room for wondering what in the hell these sort of buyers are up to.

I just saw some here for $75. About to end with no buyers.
Since the panic set in the free ship to store angle has been the best ammo deal I have found. I don't have time to poke into Walmarts and local places numerous early mornings. So I watch the Cabela's web pages, order on sale mostly. Then ship to store for free and the deal works out.
Wish I could do it with Bass Pro, they are much closer to me. Swapped emails with them recently. Tried to explain that their approach to online sales keeps me driving further, to Cabela's.
Cabela's only shows what's in stock but Bass Pro makes you wade through dozens of pretty pictures of ammo to get down to see if one item is in stock. Takes fer frick'n ever to do that. So I don't order from Bass Pro.
Anyway, I'm topped off for now on .22 S/L/LR/WRF/WMR (yep, all those). Also .380, .38 Spcl, 9mm. My .223/5.56 and .30-06 are in good supply. 12ga is piled up, don't use much of that anyway.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
