Congrats! I'm left handed so a guy in Pennsylvania made a beautiful leather holster for mine.

I bought the same gun. Got mine in january and have been out shooting quite a few times.

I step outside during commercials and blast away until my bare feet freeze.

I always wonder, do glock owners like these or not? There really neat guns but have low capacity.

If you look at the comparable G36, it also holds 6 rounds.

The G30 is also low capacity and no extended aftermarket mags available.

The XD also has better ergonomics than the Glock imho

I really like them and the Glocks. I own several of each. I don't know why, but I keep a Glock 23 as a car gun, and the XD45 in my night stand.Xd's and Glocks are both fine by me. JMO.[8D]

A good looking pistol. If I didn't already have a P45(also 6+1). I'd definitely have one of these.

Uhh...what? The Glock 30 holds 10 rounds, and 13 round Glock 21 mags fit it.

    +1

    ...and the G36 holds 7 rounds. [;)]

That being said, I would love to try one of these out to compare them to my Glock's.

Un-cocked position... Once the striker is cocked... The trigger pulls forward.

Check the chamber... SA is a bit lax on the machining marks left.
Until you polish them smooth... The rounds will have a tendency to strip off bits of brass and bullet.
This builds up until a round won't chamber correctly... 60-100 rounds or so.

Polish the chamber (especially the top) and the throat and ramp well.
They come pretty well polished, but since you'll need to do the chamber...

The XD pistol a friend uses is a dang nice gun (full sized .45). I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like theirs, and they seem to be on par with the Glock/M&P with regards to reliability, accuracy, ergonomics, etc.

Congrats, you'll be well served with your new handgun!

That was kind of an 'inside' joke Robert.[;)]

I called Spider Saturday after picking mine up, and noticing the trigger stay back after dry firing it to see what the trigger felt like.
Since he had never messed with his, he pulled it out and found it did the same.

I was unsure, as my other XD pistols return to forward even when the stiker is not cocked.

Now you know the rest of the story.[:)]

Is that a "grip-safety" on the backstrap? I like my Glock's, but that is one thing I wish they had. Just a little added comfort. I am really considering one of these.....I will see if I can get you commission if I buy one riflemike. [8D][:p]

Please let me know what you think of it after a range session or two.

Yes it is. So far as I am aware, all of the XD and XDs line have them.
