Zimbabwe's economy plummeted at the turn of the millennium, after President Robert Mugabe began seizing white-owned farms.


Government account stands at $217 after paying public workers' salaries last week, the finance minister has said.

    At $217.00 Zimbabwe still has more money than the USA. All we have is what China will loan to us. [:(]

    Rhodesia was a very wealthy African Country with a huge cattle industry.
    Now, It is Zimbabwe and they import all of their beef and they are broke.

    I was just in South Africa and Namibia last Aug and Sept for 3 weeks hunting. They told me that the two Countries are about 96%+- black and about 98%+- of taxes come from whites............
    If anyone thinks racism is bad here in the States, they should see it there!
    Razor wire, electric fences, security cameras, on top of concrete walls surrounding private homes and guest houses, and armed guards patrolling the neighborhoods in groups of 4-5 in Johannesburg.

    it's not quite bad enough yet for the America govt to insist it is the taxpayers duty to come to their rescue with few billion of china's money for which china will accept one of our national parks in lieu of payment

    My son and I hunted there this past February. It was great, lots of animals and friendly people. But we stayed far from the capitol.

    Got to love countries where their decimal point moves like spot prices on gold daily.

    Is that the country that has a Billion Dollar bills in circulation? That's rolling heavy.

    The unofficial/official currency is now the dollar. The Zimbabwe bills are literally used for toilet paper.
    Also it is all paper money, no coins in circulation

    I just don't get the concern. They're 15 trillion dollars richer than our country. Seems like a fair bit of wealth to me.
