Tell that to people who have had their reputations, their careers, and their lives ruined by news reports that broadcast half-truths or just rumors about them as fact.
Excuse me? Journalists require some security because they're sensitive? Tell that to someone who has just lost a family member in some brutal attack, swarmed by reporters thrusting microphones into their face and demanding to know how they "feel" right now.
