driving a Prius to combat climate change is like shooting your foot to stop feeling the pain in your leg.

Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

My favorite is the people who go all electric to save the planet. They take a car that really gives off very little pollution and replace it with a car full of toxic heavy metals that gets charged using mostly coal, natural gas, and nuclear power, which they also decry... yet somehow say they are still doing better by the environment.

    Idiots.

I hear you. Drive around in Portland and they are like cockroaches. Everywhere.

So many of them they have chased the Washington drivers out of the fast lane. [;)][:D]

One sun spot on a September day can undo anything a Prius gained...One belch from Mt Pinatuba does more to the environment than all the cow farts in the world...

I was "lucky" enough to rent one on a trip to San Francisco (my last trip, I hope) last year. I wanted something small due to traffic and parking difficulty, and a Prius is what they had for me. It was a real POS, but I was amazed to have seen literally hundreds of them in and around San Francisco on my 4 day trip. They were everywhere!

Remember when rechargeable batteries used lots of nickel and cadmium? If you have Google Earth, search for INCO Superstack, Sudbury Ont.

This was a huge commercial smokestack for a nickel refiner. Now look at the ground in a fan running NE from the stack. Notice the dead ground, no vegetation, black? Note this view is from a satellite in outer space, so this is rather good sized. Still think this sort of thing is good for the environment?

The Prius may not use Ni-cads, but what about the impact on the environment where the components it DOES use are mined, refined and processed.

Don't know about you guys, but out here on the left coast there are two kinds of Prius drivers. 100% throttle in the slow lane, and 10% throttle in the fast lane.

I took my kids to a Gymnastics meet at UCLA last weekend, my youngest knows how much I despise everything to do with a Prius so she likes to count them, from UCLA to the Santa Monica pier (about 5 miles) she counted 156 of the darn things. It is a guarantee in this area that if you find 1 car blocking the carpool lane or driving 10mph slower then the flow of traffic in the fast lane it will be a Prius.
There should be a law about those things that puts them in the same category as a moped to keep them off from the freeway all together, or at lest make them like a truck and trailer so that they cannot occupy anything other then the far right lanes, they are a nuisance and a danger on the road.

I almost bought one of the Prius's and then came to my senses and bought a new Camaro SS Drop top with 400 horsepower. Sure glad I came out of that sense of stupidity.[:D][;)][:p]

Look just east of Ducktown, TN back in the 1800s there was a smelter there. As late as the 60's this is what the area looked like. The trees have come back to a degree, but you can still see the scar on Google Earth.

The tree huggers don't like it when you tell them that their car runs on coal. [;)]

More hypocrisy from the libtards! There is nothing a prius driving libtard likes more than coffee especially some fancy kind of coffee, true?

Well it turns out those fancy K-cups for the Keurig Coffee maker are not recyclable and cannot be made to be recyclable[:D]

    C&P
"No matter what they say about recycling, those things will never be recyclable," Sylvan told the Atlantic. "The plastic is a specialized plastic made of four different layers." The cups are made from plastic #7, a mix that is recyclable in only a handful of cities in Canada. That plastic keeps the coffee inside protected like a nuclear bunker, and it also holds up during the brewing process. A paper prototype failed to accomplish as much.

    The story:
    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/03/04/why-the-inventor-keurig-k-cups-says-he-doesnt-use-the-plastic-coffee-pods/

What a bunch of dumb a$$es

    Idiots.
Not to mention just the mere processes required to source the heavy metals and manufacture the batteries they love to have power their cars.
