Wife was vacationing out in Arizona last week. Found this in her sister's pawn shop & thought I would like it for my birthday which is Sunday. Do I like it? YES!

...Another year older and deeper in debt...(thanks, Ernie Ford)

...I think that I'm getting older and wiser, but the
common sense thing still escapes me at times.

    ...Merry Christmas, y'all!

First gunsmith bored my shotgun barrel for a winchoke.Messed it up bad. After at least three months of " I am going to fix its" he finally bought me a new barrel. I took it to another smith and he bored and threaded it perfect. Was so happy I bought a Marlin Camp 9 off of him. Any one have one of these and how accurate are they? Oh it is my Birthday!!!

    Happy birthday!

You say you will never open it, but you thought you would share with us scotch lovers here?

How are you going to share if you're not going to open it.[:D]

By the way, I have bought 3 bottles of Remy Martin Louie the 13th Cognac for $2,400 a bottle each. I still have them, although the bottles are empty. Very expensive drink, but worth every penny.

So what I'm getting at is, why have a bottle of booze if you're not going to drink it?

well im only sharing a picture [:D]

ya it is priced at 699.00 to 799.00 if you can find it actually in stock, i drove an hour yesterday to try to find a discontinued bottle of crown honey after the web site said they had 3 in stock only to find out they where not actually in stock

back story on this bottle, the restaurant had a bar manager a few years back that was not so bright and shady, well she purchased at least 3 bottles of this at the price of 400.00+ at the time, then priced it at 20.00 bucks a shot, (we pour doubles) so we where losing around 100.00 a bottle
im now in charge of the front of the house too, i pulled those bottles out of service when i found them, and the owner gave me one for my birthday even after i told him the current and possible future value

and rem i have had Louie the 13th Cognac when i was manager of a gentlemen club, tasted like smooth watered down cognac to me, had 2 different customers buy me a shot at 150.00 a shot, fyi the empty bottles go for big bucks on fleabay

I know that, they're made out of Baccarat crystal. They sell for about 300 each if the decanter, the stopper, and the booklet are all matching numbers. Which mine are. But they look so much nicer on the Shelf of my bar filled with Remy Martin $50 bottle cognac... I have all three types of stoppers they have made for the bottles. So I have the trifecta. I have told my kids what they're worth so that when I die they can sell them.[:D]

I also have a double label 1943 Dom Perignon that's a known print. Double label means that they put two labels on it. Which is next to impossible to do, because they are labeled by hand. if it wasn't double labeled, it would be worth about $1,250, but where it has been double labeled and then kiss ocated by Don perion as being double labeled. The value is priceless... I bought it in 1976 to celebrate my wedding night with my wife. Once we open the box, that's when we found out it was double labeled. Maybe if I ever need some money I'll sell it. But I would have to be starving to death before I did, like I said it was bought to celebrate my wedding night with my dearly departed wife.

    salted carmel
    mesquite
and a few others not to mention my 3 liter bottle that looks like a stage prop , but the honey was discontinued in 2015, no go around here

I've never had much use for safe queens, 1911-a1 fan.[:)]

We spent around $ 4,000.00 on four bottles of Scotch during our recent trip to Scotland. About half on one bottle that is earmarked for an event in which I will not be able to participate.

Two of the others, however, both Single Cask offerings have been enjoyed very much. The third will be opened when the second is emptied.

If you enjoy Scotch Whiskey, sir, I would highly recommend you treat yourself to what promises to be a wonderful experience.

Happy celebration of the day you emerged forth!
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain
