The wife is in North Carolina helping take care of a friend who just had major surgery. She ordered dinner out and went to pick it up.

Now understand, the vehicle she has, has GPS.

She gets lost and calls me for directions. I had to pull up GoogleMaps, find her location, and then talk her back to where she needed to go.

    i can usually remember every exit, every main street in my entire county, and saint louis, i can often tell you a landmark even if it is just a house, i can guide anyone in this area, as well as most areas i have visited only once in my life, can i guide my wife ?

    noooo, she fails to communicate when she passes a area i identified, fails get in the lane i suggested, i am talking when i give extremely detailed information as in number of stop signs/lights etc., she can get lost in the town we grew up in

    Where was she in NC, there are some towns that are confusing as heck, Like Pinehurst at night, no signs, dark streets, It can happen even here in NC[}:)]

    My wife once called me for directions, I tried for half an hour with no success. I told her to park it and stay where she was and called a Taxi company. Told them to tell the driver where she was and what she was driving and where she wanted to go and gave them my credit card number.

    I've often listened to my wife give directions over the phone to somebody who was trying to find our house. Used to drive me nuts, now I just sit, listen and chuckle. My entertainment threshold has sure changed since I've gotten old. She has no concept of east, west, north and south, her sole landmarks are bridges, there are a dozen within five miles of our house. Really funny listening to her describing a bridge over the phone.

    She wasn't lost, she was just being a good wife and making you feel like with out you she wouldn't know how to get along, there by making you feel like her hero. Which is what every man wants to be to his wife.... JMO
