I dont know your situation very well but if i was dying i would give what i wanted to who i wanted to have it. That way they cant fight for anything.
I finally started taking things from my dad and that was one of the hardest things i have ever done. Too me it felt like i was stealing from him. My mom and sons wife told me to take what he gives me and smile.

No mail on Monday due to the Labor Day holiday.
The knife was a gift to me from Dick Hillegas, the General Manager of Ka-Bar, for designing the USMC 225th Anniversary combat knife. I presented one to the Commandant of the Marine Corps on Arlington Ridge (the Marine Memorial) on November 10, 2000.
Here's a pic of one with his and my signatures on the COA:
