I built this gun from Fusion parts and had a black oxide coating applied.
the slide is SS and I want to re-finish the sides of it to a satin stainless look. something like the Kimber Ecclipse 2 but not as shiney.
can anyone tell me which abrasives will be needed?
what grit do I start with? what would finish grit be?

their electroless nickel coating is the look I'm going for.
I emailed them to ask if they can leave the serations and top of the slide black

yeah, it cost me more to build than what it would cost to buy something similar!
