OK, i admit, I'm confused...
i know you can own m16 parts as long as you don't have a lower receiver.
i bought a vietnam era milsurp m16 that has everything except the receiver and the disconnector.
the seller said this two items would cause the gun kit to be illegal as it was not registered.
i understand about the lower, but the disconnector????
they're available everywhere in LPK's (see link)
any thoughts?

depends on the receiver and what parts your using. a drop in auto sear requires you remove the sear bock, in most cases.
the full auto lpk requires drilling a new hole (from what i'm told) and drill guide blocks are available for 30 bucks on the other side.
